A
Special Invitation You
African and Caribbean
Frontline Services (ACFS) would like to invite you to a community
event which promises to give you a taste of Africa and the Caribbean
in Bracknell Forest. The event is in celebration of Black History
Month 2009.
Date: Sunday,
25 October 2009
Time: 4.30 - 9.00pm
Venue: Sandy Lane
Primary School Assembly Hall, Sandy Lane, Bracknell, RG12 2JG
This year, the
event will feature Steel Band performance, a choir, a panel of discussion
on how education promotes and/or hinders multiculturalism in the
UK, poetry, story telling in Libraries, presentation on African
and Caribbean food, as well as tasting of African and Caribbean
food and drinks.
If you have any
contributions you would like to make concerning the planning of
this event, please feel free to contact me on the mobile number
indicated below.
In addition to
this community event, we are working with a Secondary School in
Bracknell - Easthampstead Park School - to organise and deliver
an exciting programme of activities. Members of our organisation
will lead the Assembly for one week. The School has put together
other activities, which include workshops, displays in the school
library and the serving of African, and Caribbean based dinner to
students. The programme will conclude with a grand finale on the
22nd of October in which students will perform before a gathering
of parents, teachers, invited guests and people from the community.
Please confirm
if you and your family are able to attend.
Yours sincerely,
Zach Anucha
